The Science of Ghosthunting Opens September 5
This interactive exhibit explores the science behind the pop
culture phenomenon of ghost hunting!
In the Lower Gallery.
Take
the challenge and stay overnight at the Putnam! Start the evening
with
area ghost hunters and get a glimpse of the methods they use to collect
evidence of paranormal activity. Attend sessions led by
Davenport's
division of IPART (Iowa Paranormal Advanced Research Team) to discover
where and why they "hunt" and how they gather and interpret visual and
audio phenomena. This part of the evening includes a tour of the
special exhibit.
The Science of Ghost Hunting
The event continues late
night with optional activities for our
overnight guests including exploring exhibits by flashlight, live
animals in Sci-Lab, and Share-A-Scare open mic. We invite you to
bring
your tent or sleeping bag and camp out in the Museum for the entire
night. Those staying until 6:00 a.m. will receive a certificate
of
accomplishment.
Not appropriate for
children. Under 18 must be accompanied by adult.
