Joe is a serious paranormal researcher who has been involved with the study of supernatural phenomena for over 10 years now.
He got started in this field back when a close family member was reporting strange phenomena happening in their Winterset, Iowa home.  Joe has worked in the communications and electronics field for over 20
years now in both broadcast radio, and Television as well as the cell phone industry and presently works in the Internet industry as a website software engineer.

JOE LETO- { Founder of DIEPART }.... Fearless Leader.

Joe realized early on that there was nothing in place anywhere in the
Midwest to help people cope with the paranormal. So DIEPART was born
to investigate claims of the paranormal and assist people with their
paranormal claims.

Joe is from Greenfield, Iowa where as a teenager he studied hard to
earn his ham radio license at the tender age of 12. He is now the most
senior license holder and has been a  ham radio for over 25 years
involved with local civil defense and sever weather spotting.

After High school Joe went on to study telecommunications at Iowa.
After College He volunteered for the US Navy and spend 6 years on ship
and later on shore and served as a electronics technician during the
Desert storm campaign in the 90's  were he was stationed in Saudi
Arabia for over 8 months.

Joe was honorably discharged from the US Navy, and Came back to live
in Iowa where
he was a foreman at a very large manufacturing factory.

Joe then went on to become the  assistant Chief engineer of a local
television station in the Des Moines, Iowa Area. Later on he moved
over to being a cell phone field Engineer, and  later a tower engineer
working on tall cell phone towers all over the country.

Joe now programs web sites and provides technical
assistance for a web developer in the Des Moines, Iowa Area.
He is Married with 3 children.

Joe uses all his free time to serve people who need help dealing
with the paranormal, and have no one else to turn to and thats
why we are here plain and simply!

Shannon Grew up in a haunted house for over 10 years.
She has seen many things paranormal and now has a
skeptics eye toward this phenomenon.
She is now  research with IPART and is trying to show how
this all happens & ways to capture what she saw growing up
so others may experience what she saw as a teenager.
Now she has become the co-manger of IPART and has
been with us now for many years.
She brings a no nonsense yet fun attitude  and is the kind of
person who debunks first and find reasons why..
before claiming something is supernatural.

Michael Hamilton (or Mykey/Mykee as he is known amongst the group)nserves as the Master Archivist for the Iowa Ghost Hunters Organization. As Master Archivist, Mike is responsible for making sure that all written reports and investigative notes taken from all investigations are legible, accurate and presentable for viewing by internet readers.

Hailing from Las Vegas, NV, Mykey moved to Iowa in 1987, taking up residence in Charles City, IA, and later moving on to Waterloo. In 1991 he finally settled down in Des Moines. Due to some personal issues and a crisis of faith, Mykey joined the Diepart team in 2005, serving first as an invesigator and becoming a Lead Investigator shortly thereafter. After one year of service in this capacity he suffered a nasty back injury that left him nearly incapacitated him, and he was eventually forced to give up his lead investigator role within the group. Fortunately at that time, Diepart was in need of an archivist, so Mykey just kind of slid into that role, where he has remained ever since. Having since been dubbed as "Master Archivist," he is credited with changing the format for the Iowa Ghost Hunters Final Report format from strictly factual reporting into something a bit more entertaining--but still just as factual--to read on the website.

"To me, being an Archivist is to have the very best job in the Organization" says Mike about his role in the group. "The Archivist gets to go where all the action is during an investigation, and in some cases gets to witness things that other investigators--who are usually pinned down and unable to leave a certain room in investigation site--don't get the opportunity to see. He ( the archivist) has to be there to gather all of the particulars about an event which may happen during the course of any investigation."

Having minored in English while attending college at the University of Wisconsin back in the 80's, Mike is a master at taking minor notes gleaned from investigations, combining them with eyewitness testimonies and then turning them into full blown stories. "Another one of the Archivists most important roles," cites Mike, "Is interviewing the party or parties that are experiencing the haunting activities. It's important to get a few minutes to sit down with the people that have become so terrified that they believe that they needed to risk it all and call for help. The clients are really the ones that make the difference between a good final report or a bad one."

During his spare time, Mykey also does personal studies on Witchcraft, Demonology, and the Occult and Mythological Sciences. "I consider myself a Christian," Mike says, "But somehow I just know that someday I'm going to run in to something that's going to require that I be well versed in all this occult stuff. You never know just what you are going to run in to out there," he states, "and it never hurts to have a little bit of education under your belt!"

Over the years, Mike cites his favorite investigations as having been "The Fairbury, Nebraska haunting, The Red Rock Inn investigation in Fairfield, Iowa, and Lemp Mansion in St Louis, Mo."

KITTEN is IPARTS own certified mental health expert certified to treat diagnose and counsel mental health paients / clients in the state of Iowa.
She has been in IPART as long or longer than almost anyone. She is a true IPART DIEHARD !
She has a  fascination with the supernatural and paranormal since she was a little girl reading books about evps etc..She has made numerous Pilgrimage all over the USA doing research and study into mental illness and the paranormal. She is a huge UFO buff and has been to over 12 haunted places around the United States to check on their authenticity. She is the sweetest most generous Kitten in the world in our book! She is just good people. Teresa is a licensed psychotherapist in the State of Iowa treating a variety of emotional and mental health concerns. She brings a Christian perspective to the field of the paranormal as well as a skeptical mindset. She is especially interested in debunking cases where mental illness may be a factor. In her spare time she enjoys reading, playing on-line Scrabble, and traveling. Teresa has been an avid researcher of the paranormal for many years including hauntings, UFO's, stigmata, possession, and animal sensitivity. If she won the lottery chances are she would open up her own animal shelter (after buying a thermal imaging camera for the team of course).

Orb is Bro spelled backwards and that's how Scott got his unique paranormal nickname he is just a good old boy trapped in a city slickers body.
Orb is a fun guy to be around and is a friendly soul who would give the shirt off his back to help someone.
He is a Lead investigator for IPART and has had many paranormal experiences which define his views on the paranormal. Orb has been in IPART for a very long time and has seen balls of lights or ORBS shooting threw houses all the way to objects moving and fly & bounce threw the air. He has had several strange experiences outside of IPART as well dealing with OBE. Out of Body near death  experiences. As an amateur Scientist, I have always gone against mainstream explanations to everything we do not understand. To find the truth we must open our minds and start looking in different directions. Common sense is our greatest tool. Joining the Iowa Ghost Hunters (IPART), has given me an opportunity to explore the Paranormal from a scientific aspect. I am open minded and skeptical, with abundant knowledge with regards to the Paranormal, UFO's, and Philosophical thinking. I was born and raised in a small central Iowa farm town, spent 4 years in the USAF servicing support systems at one of our National Defense Systems. Welder, Steelworker and HVAC Installer by trade, I am currently in Construction Management. My wife, LeAnn is also a member of IPART and together we have 3 children and 5 grandchildren that we love to spoil.

3. Must be able to go on 2-3 investigations Each month...


4. Must be a real team player and work well with others...


5. Must show no fear and must want to help our clients...


6. Must have reliable transportation to anf fro to our cases...


7. Must be physically fit to keep up with the 24 hour pace of an investigation... Must be willing to stay awake all night sometimes...


8. Must email us frequently and help us all go over the ton of evidence we collect at every investigation...


9. Must have a computer &  internet connection the higher the speed the better...


10. Must wear the DIEPART t-shirts at investigations & promote the team the website and the DIEPART mentality of skeptics first believers second.. DIEPART is a non profit organization we don't charge anything!
